Proud Prison Wives was never meant to be just a website.
It was born in a season that completely shattered us… and then slowly, painfully, beautifully rebuilt us into something stronger, deeper, and more surrendered than we ever thought possible.
Hi, I’m Noél—wife to Brett, mama to four incredible kids, and the heart behind Proud Prison Wives.
Our story didn’t begin in prison…
but it was forever marked by it.
The day Brett was sentenced, everything changed.
Not just the big things… everything.
The life we knew.
The rhythms of our home.
The sense of safety we didn’t even realize we were standing on.
It all disappeared in a moment.
And what was left behind was this overwhelming weight—
questions we didn’t have answers to,
fear we didn’t know how to carry,
and a kind of loneliness that is hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.
Because prison doesn’t just take one person…
it impacts an entire family.
I was suddenly navigating life, motherhood, finances, emotions—all of it—without my husband beside me.
Answering hard questions from our kids.
Holding it together during the day… and falling apart in the quiet moments no one sees.
And then there was the shame.
The kind that tries to convince you to hide.
To stay silent.
To shrink back and carry it all alone.
We had a choice in that season.
We could let shame define us.
We could isolate, withdraw, and quietly survive…
Or we could stand up in the middle of the hardest chapter of our lives and say:
this will not be the end of our story.
That even here… God is still good.
That even here… He is still working.
That even this… can be used for something greater.
Proud Prison Wives was born in that decision.
Not from a place of having it all together…
but from a place of surrender.
From late nights, tear-filled prayers, and letters written across prison walls.
From choosing faith when it didn’t make sense.
From believing that broken pieces could still be used to build something meaningful.
This isn’t just a platform.
It’s a lifeline.
It’s a testimony.
It’s proof that even in the middle of the mess… God is still writing something beautiful.
Our Mission
This space exists to remind you that your story is not over.
That prison does not define a person.
That shame does not get the final word.
That even in the darkest places, God is still moving.
We are here for the wives, the families, the ones holding everything together on the outside while loving someone on the inside. The ones who feel forgotten, judged, or alone.
You are not alone here.
Our Story
Brett is currently serving time in federal prison, but even behind razor wire, his life has become a testimony of redemption, growth, and purpose.
What started as survival turned into transformation.
Through discipline, faith, and a willingness to be refined in the hardest place imaginable, Brett began not only changing his own life—but impacting the lives of other men around him.
And through letters, those stories began making their way home to us… and eventually, to you.
Speak Dog
Out of one of the most unexpected places came one of the most powerful lessons.
Speak Dog was born inside prison walls through Brett’s experience training dogs—learning how to communicate, lead, and build trust without words.
But this book is so much more than dog training.
It’s about discipline.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about learning a new language—one built on clarity, patience, and follow-through.
