Let me officially introduce myself. 

 My name is Noél, and I’m a real-life prison wife.

 Each morning, I wake up without my husband Brett by my side, homeschool our four beautiful children, work endless late-night hours to keep our family afloat, and do everything I can to hold our heartbroken family together as prison tries to rip us apart.

      A few months into Brett’s sentence, we were slowly slipping into the dark pit of prison life. To cheer our kids and me up, Brett began sending us stories about his dog-training adventures inside a federal prison. Our entire family instantly fell in love with his big brown–eyed prison puppy, Conrad. Each letter Brett sent brought much-needed smiles to our faces. The hope and joy woven into every Conrad story didn’t just lift our spirits—it began pulling our family out of that pit, one small breakthrough at a time.

As I started sharing these special Prison Puppy Trainer stories with friends and family, something unexpected happened—readers began texting me, asking when the next story would arrive. I had been living in the shame of being a prison wife and was NOT used to people embracing our family’s reality. Sharing these stories brought unexpected healing to my aching heart and gave me the strength to endure this season of suffering. Little by little, I found myself transforming into a PROUD PRISON WIFE, supported by readers like you.

Then reader after reader started to encourage me to publish a book about Brett’s Prison Puppy Trainer journey. At first, I was overwhelmed and honestly paralyzed by the thought of publishing my first book and making our private world public. But I wanted my children to see the truth with their own eyes: prison might take their dad’s freedom, but it would never take our family’s strength, our love, or our story.

Publishing SPEAK DOG by myself was NOT easy—but it was 100% worth it.

Brett wrote the original manuscript by hand from his prison cell. I took each of those letters and shaped them into a one-of-a-kind dog training book that teaches YOU how to SPEAK DOG in just 10 days. But this is so much more than a dog-training book. It’s a lifeline born out of heartbreak—packed with inspiration, hope, restoration, love, and healing.
